Great results on a sweet amp!

Did you try anything below 1 ohm? And are you going to test efficiency (I know they had some bold claims)?

I will clamp the dcA consumption later. After I saw the number it did at 1 ohm, I had to get a video and put it up. I was really excited when I saw it do 1700w.

Very small amp and under $300 for 1500w+. That is what I call a budget minded quality amp!

Crescendo Symphony 1500.1

This works out to about 84% efficient. BUT Since there is no way to guarantee that the clamp reading was taken at EXACTLY the same time as the power reading by the dyno, it could be a little bit more efficient. I would give it a +/- 5% tolerance

Does the dyno keep running until you hit pause on the head unit? Couldn't you take the clamp off peak hold and watch it at the end when it levels out? Not 100% on how the dyno works.

The dyno runs for 15 seconds. I use peak hold so I can record the final value. When I clamp for efficiency, I stop the dyno before it is done reading so I can get the clamp as accurate as possible.

The only problem with this is since the dyno and clamp are separate tools, you cannot guarantee 100% accuracy. The only way for that reading to be 100% accurate would be for the dyno to have a built in dcA clamp that measures at precisely the same millisecond as the wattage reading.

This is also the problem with other testing methods that use multiple tools. While they might be close, if you don't have 1 tool take every reading at the exact same time then you cannot guarantee accuracy.
