Default s1500.1

Is it normal for it to run hot after running for half hour at almost max volume? I ask because I had a fosgate 1500.1 bdcp before and it would never get hot and I just assume digital amps don't get hot. Gains set using and distortion detector.

that's hella weird.

I got a friend who is running one on two SA 12s. Almost always full tilt, and the amp is just barely warm. I mean it has ran nowhere near too hot to touch or anything considering it's mounted in the trunk of a black car in a Texas summer

Mine is mounted right under my back seat in my jeep grand cherokee. Its a tight spot with barely any air movement. But that's why I went digital for the small footprint.

Dont mean to thread jack, but does the symphony push the SA's pretty good? I'm looking at getting the same sub stage.. I stay in arlington right by the cowboys stadium!

I left my seat up and my amp was cool even after a half hour of playing. Time to put in a fan.

I ran two sa 12s off my fosgate 1500 and it loved it. Loud as hell. Ive only ran single 12s off the s1500 but i can tell you this amp pushes out some power and its so small for such a beast.

My last setup was 2 Sa's on a RF T1500bdcp also and it got down!! I sold the system thinking about upgrading but after doing all the modding to my car, I no longer want to abuse it too much, plus I have intentions of getting an aftermarket sunroof... I think it was plenty and containable flex wise if I deaden and foam my roof. I figured why buy the RF if I can get the same power for $300 less then a brand new RF and even $50 cheaper then a used one!

So you would recomeend that amp for a pair of SA's? I also chose them because I want to mount them under my seats so that I can build an enclosure that can push close back to my rear seats so I can have a super clean trunk with no wires showing!

I would defiantly recommend the s1500.1 to push a pair of sa's. This amp has a lot of power for such a small footprint. Also I like that I can fit a 0 gauge wire in the pos and neg terminals with ease. I could barely fit my 4 gauge in my fosgate.

LOL!!! Thanks man!!! Maybe one of these days we can meet up and I can get a demo... I'm down to drive to denton from arlington for a demo!!!

I had mine at 4 cu tuned to 34 and it got down!! I'm thinking this next time 3.5 cu tuned to 33 for a tad bit more low end... I listen to mainstream music only, no decaf so I know the songs aren't diggin down to much below 30hz So i figured 33 would be a nice medium!
