Default what is the true ohm reading of 4 and 8 ohm pwx 10

Most pro audio don't really have a true reading of 8 ohm and 4 ohm. Just wondering about this 10

The impedance given in the spec sheet is just that... impedance. More specifically... nominal impedance or "Znom".

The "reading" you speak of is DC resistance and is irrelevant in the AC world.

Uninstalled, it should read very close to either 4ohm or 8ohm

OK so for example , the new neo 8" 8ohm speaker is really 5.4 ohms according to crescendo website. Now if I ran four of those on the new 1500/1 which is a 2 ohm midrange amp would I run into issues being that the 4 8s are not really running at 2 ohm. They are running below 2 ohms.

It would be a little over 1.25ohms so I would say yes, it could be an issue. I would not recommend it.

The impedance minimum could end up much higher than the znom, but even for more sensitive home theater amplifiers rated at say 4 ohms minimum load, a few frequencies that play closer to 3 ohms is no big deal. I have run cheap-o mb quart 4channels at 1.3 ohms nominal with no issues, except the extreme damping factor loss obviously.

Only way to know for sure is to see an impedance graph of that speaker. My guess is you're fine
