Default 125.4 getting hot

just had all my front end wired up to my 125.4 and its getting pretty hot after just a few minutes. channels 1 and 2 are at 2ohm stereo (focal components in door and infinity components in kick panels) and 3 and 4 are just running 6.5 focal coaxials in the rear doors

Can you post a pic of your settings on the amp and of the overall install?

Good pics. Its hard to tell but how high are your gains turned up and judging by the hi-pass setting, I assume you are not using the bass boost correct?

Check to make sure your power and grounds at the amp are tight and also the ground where it is grounded to the car/truck.

Keep in mind that this amp is a class a/b so it will run hot. Even more so with the 2 ohm load on the front ch.
How hot is it actually? Can you still touch it and keep your hand on it? I take it that it has not gone into thermal protect?

To give you an idea, I have an old Crossfire CFA HC30 bridged running at 1ohm(in hi-current mode) and after a bit, it gets quite hot.
Just the nature of some amps.

so you have two different set of components, with two different sets of passive crossovers, wired together in parallel on each one of your front channels...? That could be your problem....

yeah no bass, waiting for my 2500.1 to get here for the bass

I have 2 D680 batteries about 1 foot from the amp that the amp is powered by and they are grounded to the frame by a 3/8's bolt welded to the frame (2010 Tahoe) that's what you see on the right side of the first pic

I can still touch it but its good and warm but no its not going into thermal. were its at its not getting a lot of air to it, I may move it over about a foot and get it away from the seat mount (under the rear seat in the Tahoe)

what will that do, have 2 different sets of crossovers

I did not do the wiring so im not sure how they are hooked up, but it that what the pics show then yeah, I have a focal component set in the front doors then got a deal on a set of unopened infinity kappa perfect 6.1's ($100) so I put them in q-logic kick panels.

iv been into stereo and box building a long time myself but I have never really dealt with front end/ highs and mids.

My mids and Highs amp always runs a little hot. One thing I cant quite tell but may be worth looking into is your speaker wire gauge. It looks a lil thin to me.
