I purchased a Sundown SCV-3000 from Chris at the end of 2016 and the nightmare started from there. It took 3 months to get the amp which was just ridiculous. I get the amp and get it installed and instantly I knew something was wrong. There was no output other than a very slight whisper. So i double checked everything and it was correct. So i installed the generic bass knob he sent with the amp to see if that would change anything and boy did it. As soon as i moved the gain the amp sounded like i had fireworks coming out of it along with smoke. So i contacted Chris and of course every excuse in the book. So I send it back and waited almost 3 more months but I got it back. Got it installed and all was good for a while. That was until I decided to plug that POS bass knob back in. It was still installed but I was leery about it but I figured that my first issue was most likely due to an internal component because of the low output before I plugged the knob in. So I plugged it in and went to turn the knob slowly and I'll be a SOB more FIREWORKS. Then the knob got HOT and then the smell. I was so upset so I cooked of first and contacted Chris. I told him everything and I told him the bass knob had to be the issue but he wasn't really hearing it. He told me to box it up and send it back as I was still under warranty. Well after 2 months I tried contacting him and he did respond telling me that he was trying to find some parts but was having trouble getting them. After that all my attempts to contact him have gone unanswered. From day one I never rushed him and never got hostile with him. I know shit happens in life and I'm not his only customer but it has been a whole YEAR. I see he had issues in the past but he took care of it in the end but this is wrong. I even went as far to tell him to send the damaged amp back to me but nothing. Chris I dont know what happened but i just want my amp back. I hope you will man up and do the right thing and respond. This is not how you handle business. Let me know something.
