Default dc 3.5k at .5

I am going to be running my 3.5k's strapped on 4 hdc18s at 2 ohm, but was wondering how much more power could I get running @ .5 ohm? And would a 270 alt, 3 xs 3100's and a 6500 be enough electrical to run like that or should I just stick with 2 ohms strapped? Just for daily, no comps

Your electrical sounds good as long as you have big 3, and multiple runs of 1/0. Im running my 3.5K @0.5 ohm and my 18" XLs are HAMMERIN' ... I have a Mechman 200 amp alt and 1 group 34 up front and one group 27 in back and voltage stays 12.6-13.4 depending on the note. Im about to add another group 27.

You'd gain quite a bit of power depending on what your reactive, etc.
My guess is you should be able to handle it like brandon said and you would be adding a little more then doubling your power

I wouldnt not strap at .5 ohm. You will void you warranty by doing this and will put alot of extra stress on the amps by running them at .25 per amp. You can run at 1 ohm strapped but your warranty will still be void by running under 1 ohm per amp.

My guess is they will protect regardless of how good your electrical is. .25 per amp (.5 strapped ) is not worth the extra stress and heat you will create vs running at 2 ohms strapped. Maybe for burps but NEVER AT ALL should amps be ran that low unless designed to on a daily system.

Yeah I decided not to, I was thinking each amp would b .5 before, not .25. I'm just strapping at 2ohm ,1 ohm per amp

That's a lot of load for one alternator, but with proper batteries it will work. Watch the voltage and if it starts to drop too far after playing a while pick up the engine speed(if idling) and lay off the system for a couple minutes to let the batteries recover.

I have seen people do more wattage with less alternator so I think you will be fine.
If you need more power we do have our new hybrid that's going into production shortly that has done [email protected] in my Crown Vic Police Interceptor and is now being built to fit GM too.
