Default M2 level 3s on 6k?

Now that I have your attention... I will be buying 4 m2 Level 3 15's to install into my wall in my Civic. How will these woofers like a total of 6k from a Lanzar Optidrive 6000 at .5 ohm? Can they handle the 1500 watts or so a piece or do I need to upgrade to the lvl 4 coils or just the level 4?

I think you will be just fine. Just make sure you have a few batteries.

I think it's probably because that sub is not moving enough to allow it to cool.. Id turn the gain up a bit so it moves more for cooling reasons.. That's why it's hard on subs to be underpowered..

If its clean unclipped power, I think you'll be good. I wouldn't do it but you can try.

With perfectly clean, undistorted power, you will be putting the Level 3 coil and motor right at its limit. I know this because I did it. I clamped 1500w+ to the Level 3 prototypes and found 1500w to be the limit. You MUST have perfectly clean power and design the box according to the power. I would recommend 3-3.25ft3 per sub NET.

I've got 3.5 cubes net each tuned to 35hz. I guess real talk after impedence rise and my electrical i will probably be way less power than that. But I think I will at least upgrade to the lvl 4 coils

Honestly, with the price difference between the Level 3 with 4 upgrade and the Level 4s I would really consider the Level 4s.

Sending you a PM now.

one wy to find out, buyit and test it for urself, hardly anyone willever do the exact same setups in same car and have the same box. even if the subs will take those nice clean power to the coil, you will be moving them alot, u will put them to their mechanical limits. you will run into ton spiders, broken 3xjoints, rip surround, or anything is posible when running that much power. not sying it will happen but it can, too many variables. i myself would rather jus buy it and do my own testing. if your getting it anyways. gonna have to play and test it.

this is EXACTLY what i was going to do, just with 12s instead...taking rise into account, u will be fine...the woofers will see mayb 1-1.2k each, depending on ur rise
