Default .5 ohm stable?

i'm ordering a DC 2kw and will be running 2 AQ HDC3-10s (D1) I have them wired together to present a total ohm load of 1 ohm BUT when i checked the final load with my ohmmeter it was actually .5-.6 ohms. will the 2k be stable at this load?

Make sure that you actually got D1 subs. Some D1 coils will actually read .7. You should be fine.

the coils do read about .7. . . Will it be fine for daily? Also what can I expect for power output?

Should be fine for daily if your electrical is upgraded...shouldn't take much for a 2K at .5 though. The positive side is you'll never see the .5-.6 load on a reactive load. I bet you'll be closer to 1.5-2 ohm range for reactive.

Only way to see how much power you can expect is to clamp the amp and find out. Each setup is different and even the same equipment in a different box will yield results that are very different from the other...again due to box rise and your reactive load.

Ok thanks, everything in my car is upgraded (wiring, big 3, extra battery) except the alternator

I only ask because there is no rating for the amp at .5ohms and it doesn't say .5ohms stable
