Made this a few weeks ago. Still in progress..I gotta repaint the rings...damn subs keep scratching the paint off (too lazy to let it fully dry lol)
Was with the help of Badmofo. Appreciate it man.
Subwoofers: 2 12" DC level 3 w/ level 4 softparts price for both: $340
Box materials: $140.
Used 12 ply birchwood, was on sale for $29.99 at menards...couldn't pass up that kind of deal. going to skip the router cutting (lol miss measured the center...ending up using it as a double baffle inside of a flush mount
Yes I went screw happy...every 3" lol
The whole inside of the box is resin and fiber glassed
Yes...the back wall is 1/2" shorter than the port...grabbed the wrong measurements...but it sounds bad ass either way.
How the box looks now:
(Have 8 screws for the for each voice coil...ended up using KNU 10gauge...which was the size of the DC speaker terminal...so I wanted to make it easy to switch between 2ohms and .5 ohms)
The logo was an experiment...wanted to put audio on the bottom but the letters were to small
Going to be ran at .5 ohms on a DB Drive Okur A7 2000.1
Still have to seal it off so no pressure goes into the trunk area...been experience some "Echo" sounds because of it. That will be fiberglassed onto the back wall so it remains a trunk build. Going to seal it off first with 5 layers of duct tape (lolol..laugh, but it works) running a XS power XP3000 in the back w/ a XS Power D3400 in the front
