Default Best DC amp for Four M1 18"XL's

I'm planning to buy a new DC Audio amp for this season, but unsure if I want the 7.5k, 9.0k or the 10k. It'll be powering 4 18" XL M1's, all are dual 1 Ohm coils. I could wire to .5 ohms or 2 Ohms but of course .5 would be better. Since I already have the subs, along with a few extra recones I really don't want to have to buy a different coil configuration. Anyone know if these will be ok if I did wire them to .5 ohms?

It'll be used for SPL comps and well as demo's.

As for electrical, I have an Ohio Gen 320 amp Alt just for the bank, and 6 Reikken jb2409 batteries, so far.

a little more alt power would be best, more battery too... they'll run .5 without issue if kept electrically happy

Since your running 12v batts I'd suggest the 10.0. It makes over 2500watts more power then the 9.0 on a 12v system.

I have no plans to bump up to 16-18v so the 10k would be a good option. Just curious if anyone has run these at .5 and not had any meltdowns. As for voltage, might bump it to around 15.0-15.3 for burps, but not concerned about that just bumping it.

I said 9k because of this reason.

Ive seen a failure with one about 2 minths in @ .5 with 6 batterys and a uograded alt. Beside its not much of wattage increase to the 10k

Personally I have ran my pair of 10.0s at .5ea for over 2 years, with no issues. Also I only know or 3 10.0s being in for repair, 2 or which was damaged in shippping and 1 was noted by ARC as being from customer abuse. Regardless the amps, running below 1ohm you take a chance, and the 10.0 has proven to be more efficient.

The 10k shits all over the 9k on a 12v system.
