Default DC 5k under 1ohm

I was curious what the lowest people run these daily at.
Even if I wire my subs to 0.25 I should be half ohm after box rise and such. Would this be too low? What about 0.33 or 0.5 (before box rise)

yes half ohm reactive probably will protect instantly. and considering that is double the rated current flowing through the output fets your amp won't live long. Maybe a burp but .25 daily is just stupid IMO. .35 is still dangerous but more acceptable. .5 daily is fine.

Maybe I'm using the wrong terminology but like for instance right now I'm at 1.33 but if I hook a dmm up to the end of my speaker wire leads I get 1.7

that's not caused by box rise. rise is while the subs are moving/playing. the resistance your reading is due to speaker wire/connections /etc

So like if I wire to 0.33 as long as the final resistance at the end of the leads is 0.5 or higher I should be fine or do I need to stay above 0.5 so the final is around 1ohm

your multi meters reading is what your amp sees. keep in mind some multi meters have resistance in there leads/the unit which can make it read a little higher then actuals

Safer at that .5 for sure. Much more forgiving

Yea I realise it will be what the amp sees but what I'm stumped on is when like you said 0.5 is fine do you mean like factoring in wire resistance and all like even if I wire subs to 0.3 but final resistance is 0.5 or higher I'm good.
