Default What is a guy to do?

Well i think today was the day.... The day we found out there is only one finals location in all of North America.... Oddly enough it is in the furthest south east tip on the continent. What is a guy to do?

The wait just to find out about finals has completely sucked all the ambition out of me to compete seriously anymore. I know for certain I will not be at finals now, and I would like to say that I will still be beating on Jimbo this year but at this point it doesnt look good.
I am not happy about the whole situation... That being the organization of 2010 finals. The wait, the lack of info in general, the date, and the location. It has really lead me to second guess my participation in dB Drag on a world level. I will still be holding and participating in event in 2011, but should I park Jimbo for a year to cool off? The entire situation is upsetting to me.

Well that is my rant for the year ..... it is going to be a quiet year

To Daytona is approx 6000 miles round trip.
It sure does suck. Not so much to location, but just to waiting and date more specifically of finals. Finals should have been in Oct like always. That time of the year the competitors are all jacked up in the competition mind set. After sitting up here for 6 months in the cold a guy quickly loses that intensity to compete. It is just not the same you know? Well for me anyways.

I think i will plan a trip to DC headquarters again, but this time in the summer when it is nice out! Go build some subs for all you guys who want the best!!! And maybe come up with some new designs once again while i am down there.

Everything I've seen/heard about db drag finals is a joke. Its like they don't care about their competitors.

Clay, keep me updated on when you plan the trip to DC HQ. Im planning a trip as well when it gets warm. Would be nice it to be around the same time your there. I know a vehicle that can use some of those woofers you would be building. I ONLY want THE BEST!

i feel ya on that Clay.sitting through these NY winters suck and motivation is just sucked out of you.competing now is nowhere near as good or fun like it was years ago thanks to orgs that don't care about as much about its competitors.

even 6 or 7 years ago the northeast was a force in iasca.now you can't even find an iasca event in a 100 mile radius up here.it's sad.
