Default Best setup for lvl 3 12 in trunk. Non fold down leather seats.

I'm gonna put one of my lvl 3 12s in my ssei (2000) I love the car as I will finish modding this year ( still in storage ) but the speakers are terrible. I'll figure out what components in time but I need to know what size box am I looking at for full potential of the 12. Like 3 cubes or so? I wanna tune low and have plenty if port because I was getting noise before.

But what can I do to make this get some sound through hose seats. I have 2 but I don't think I can fit a 5-6 cf box back there and still have a descent amount of room

1.5-1.75ft3 after displacement is the sweet spot for the 12s.

Nice. I need a good enclosure calculator. The good one I had bookmarked went out the window on a format.

What width or size are people using for the port too. I've built 2 boxes for the pair and always ended up with port noise of chuffing

My seats don't fold down and I have tried EVERYTHING as far as enclosures go. Probably my best results were a 4th order blowthrough ported through the "ski pass." Do you have one of those? With 5-6 cubs you could definitely do a single 12.

Other than that, sub up/port to the driver's side is the next best orientation.

(2) 10's in that 4th order blowthrough. Did 147's with this.

150+. Burp tune though.

148's. Single 18.

Here's my current daily setup (minus the giant Zapco. lol). It's a single 12 on ~ 1k. Does 141-142 on music.

Yea man, I dont wanna do something crazy.. Horns and bandpasses require to much free time, which is something I dont have alot of these days

Ive ALWAYSgone sub and ports firing to the rear.. But I might try port to the side this time.. I was pretty impressed tho.. Dida 146.8 with the 2 12s in a trunk grand am in a 4.5 cf box tuned to 35 @ 36 hz.. These subs still amaze me

But that car is about done, and I just need something in the bonne because like I said.. THe audio is horrible and I need to have something in there ASAP when i pull it out of storage
