Default Question on DC setup

Plan on doing 8 10's in a sealed v in my trunk over the summer. Going to run either a Crescendo bc5500 or a DC 5.0k @ .5 nominal in hopes of seeing 1 for daily after rise. Wondering if I should run the level 2's or level 3's. I know the 3's better suit rms needs, both woofers could handle 600 daily though right? Also would there be that much of an audible difference if any?

You will be fine with either the level 2 or 3 subs with running 8 on a 5k. As long as you don't plan on adding any more power then i would go with the level 2s to save some money on subs and shipping costs.

If you have any questions or need pricing just shoot me a pm and I'll be glad to help.

Alright, sweet and thanks man I've already been contacted by my local rep here in FL if I need any other help though I'll let you know.

And it would be a pseudo bandpass I guess, sealed v firing into the cab through the rear seat opening sealed off from the trunk. Plus I don't have much room to play with. Unless I fiberglass or piece together and build in the trunk the most I can get is about 9 cu ft net before displacement. I realize this is probably enough space for ported but not enough physical space to mount all subs and have a port. You think I should run ported though?

If you want to fit 8 in your truck then I would stick with the sealed enclosure. For 8 level 2 or 3s 10s sealed you are gonna be looking at about 9ft3 total including sub displacement. If you try to add a port then you are going to sacrifice airspace to do so or you would have to drop down to 6 subs.
