Default Questions trunk or back seat?

So im stationed in japan and i have a nissan laurel the problem is my trunk

is basically sealed off from the car. Theirs a small opening after i took a

panel off. SO im debating on taking the back seat out and putting a box in

place of it. Or should i go with the trunk? Any suggestions or input would b

nice. OOo i have a sundown 1200d on the way and wanna go with 2

obsidian 15s to start out with. Pics of my car if i get atleast 3 helpful

replies. *need help on how to upload pics also

It'll b my first box and 4th orders look a lil difficult lol. plus idk if 2 15s would fit in the trunk not much space. Going with the back seat ill have 40w 15d 24h vs the trunks max of 30wide 20deep 18high. rough measurements

That opening is plenty big enough. I onyl had an 8x13" armrest opening in my Lexus and I got it pretty loud.

Unfortunately, I don't think you have enough room for 15's. Maybe a solid pair of 12's. Sub up, port to the side. I ran a single SA12 in my trunk like that for months on everything from 800w to 3k+ and it was probably the best sounding setup I've ever had. It sounded great and did like 144's @ 37hz on music.

That's not enough airspace for a 4th order for some 15's. Get Taylorfade in here. He'll tell you how to get loud in a sealed trunk. It should be trunk or wall, not backseat. Congrats on the sub choice. You'll love them.

EDIT: Speaking of the Devil^^^lol!

Hehe.

Just to expound a little on my earlier suggestions... keep it simple for now. I tried every damn thing. From ported to 4th order blowthroughs, isobaric to tlines. I left no stone unturned and that simple 2 cube box, sub up, port to the driver's side for the SA12 is where I landed. It wsan't the loudest setup by far, but it was the easiest, simplest and what became most important... the lightest per decibel.

Your trunk sounds a lot like mine in terms of size. You'd be surprised how quickly 2 cubes will eat up a 6 cube gross trunk when you need to get a batt or batts and amps back there too. Not to mention leaving some room for the pressure to get around the box. The mistake most people with small trunks make is that they try to stuff as much box back there as possible right off the bat. That winds up being counter-productive. There is a point of diminishing returns in terms of box size and when the output starts getting choked. In my trunk, that point was right at 3 cubes.

The pic is taken with the back seat out. Theirs no hole through the seat part i was worried alot of the bass would b stuck in the trunk since i cant put the seat down plus the seats are thickkkkk. I hear you on letting the air flow may just move down to 12's or one 15 in the trunk. just gonna b a daily set up no comps on the island just wanted real loud not the my trunk makes alot of noise loud.

Hmm... are there speakers in the rear deck? Taking my 6x9's out of the rear was worth almost a whole db.
