Default 1 chamber box or 2?

I'm going to be putting 2 10's in my car and can't decide whether I should put both subs in one big chamber with one port out the front or give both subs a seperate chamber and port them seperately. I'd like some opinions and ideas and why?

I always prefer to use separate chambers when possible. I like to run each sub to it's own individual amp and by doing that it allows me to only play one sub if I want to. Plus with separate chambers if one sub blows you don't have to worry about damaging the second sub because of too much air space. I also think the box is more sturdy because of the added bracing the middle seperator provides.

Just my two cents though..

Thats what my thinking has always been also, I'm only going to be running 1 amp though and i'm just wondoering if there'd be better output with both subs being in the same airspace vs. individual

I honestly don't think there would be a noticeable difference in output. I would go with two separate chambers for the reasons above.

I think i will do the seperate chambers then. One more question, would you suggest having the ports go to the outside or middle of the box?
