Default First time building a box

So, I bought a design.. Went to lowes and had them cut my mdf (first mistake), then got to working on the box, overall not to shabby for being my first box, its still not completely done but its almost there..

Yeah.. I dont think the piece of 3/4 mdf i bought was squared off so when they cut it, everything was off, so my pieces dont really allign to well, i dont mind it too much, just alot of sanding, especially in the port

I also have a question, I found some gutter sealant which is like a clear gel substance that hardens but stays somewhat rubbery, I used it all over the outer seams of the box to prevent leaking of air.. bad idea or good idea? lol.
