Question Sous deadened inside enclosure!!!

Has any body used sound deadener inside the port walls of an enclosure to make it smooth and slick.I have some left over deadener and was going to try it but skeptical about wasting it !

I think AC tape is a better choice there.

All of these ideas are aluminum tape and so is the deadener so why would they be better?

Bc aluminum tape is far less expensive.....

While it has the aluminum foil backing it tends to not be smooth when applied due to the buytal backing. Sure tape goes on thin and smooth.
