Default 16 12s

so im about to start my new build got rid of the wall and the 18s

picked up 16 hifonic 12s for 350 so its going to be a budget build all subs will be ran on ab 200.1 at .5 roughly 250 rms per sub

my question is what size box should i be using and i wanna hit lows so was thinking of tuning in the high 20s

I definetly wouldn't do 28 if you're looking for numbers. Interchangable port maybe?

I have tested that amp about a bazillion times. I know what it does clean, clipped, dirty, loaded, unloaded, wired down, low voltage, good voltage, after it hot, while it's cool, on caps, on batts, where it protects, what's thermal limits are and just about anything else anyone would care to know about it.

But thanks for chiming in. Your opinion is duly noted.

it will be a clamshell wall in a focus, use all the space you can.
should be able to get a solid 27cf after displacements if you build it to its maximum, i wouldnt tune lower then 32 as the port is gonna eat alot of space as well

posibly a sealed clam

i dont think you can make it long enough to fit a tunnel.

you would need it to be atleast 48" long and i dont see that in a focus

i wouldve gone with 20 10s.

But i agree with a clam. 16 sealed 32 ported, 2:1 ratio

or 16 sealed 24 ported 1.5:1 ratio
