Default port area 4th order

does the same rule apply to the port area of a 4th order (x=square inches of port per cubic foot) or how does this work ?

It's all hocus pocus when it comes to BP's. Lol.

Just guess, make it big, not overly long and see what happens. That's what I do

1/3-1/2 Sd of the woofers or 18-22 pet cube, really really really varies between applications.

mine also. 1 cube sealed 3 ported 6" aero tune to 46 in a trunk. played decent flat from 32 to 50hz but played down to 25ish with authority. had 3 on 2 apsm1300s strapped at 1.3 clamped ~800 watts rising to 4ohms

Rule of thumb
Yes start big then shrink when coming to a 4th order wall.

Also if your shrinking and then it caps out, then try to make your port longer.
More length will tune it lower, but be careful cuz it can also work against you with how close it is to your cabin.
Loading your cabin will be a challenge yes it comes from your port but also on how you brace your vehicle. .
I know off going off topic but its a huge issue people dont think about or think little of when doing a bandpass.
Also making the enclosure, roof, and inside of the cabin rounded will help out.
I can go into detail If you want...
Just my $.02

Regular 4th box is actually more work and have more variables.

If its a wall Bigger is better just don't go below 16 per and you will be alright if you need a sixth order stay close to a 1:1-1:1.5-2 ratio and tune the rear chamber as low as you can and front chamber at your cabins peak will get Nasty and brutal loud
