Default non walled 6th order

i have(about to recieve) two obsidian audio 18s and i have a regular ported box tuned to 33 hz but i am about to get a bigger vehicle and i want to build a new box. ive liked the 6th orders ive heard but they were all walls. has anyone had any experience with non walled 6th orders? could i just face the ports toward the hatch and would it sound good or would it need to be a wall?

(2) 18's in a 6th is a big ass box not to be a wall. Lol.

I can't tell you specs off the top of my head, but it's got to be in the 25-30cube range.

as said above will take a huge box probably somewhere around 4 cubes each ported rear and 12 cubes each ported front if your wanting a series tuned 6th order

this will be going in a 2003 ford expedition i was also thinking 4th order because i heard that they are low end monsters. max dimension i have is 48 width 46 depth and a lot of height.

Tom tucker had one, it was a 6th order wall in a jeep exactly like yours. It took up all the space from his b-pillar on back. It was amazing... if you're gonna do a 6th I'd just wall it. It basically turned his cabin into a port
