Cool Which enclosure will get lower? Ported @25Hz or T-line @34Hz

Which will hit lower notes? Four 10" subs with a fs of 25 Hz in a ported enclosure tuned to 25 Hz? Or two 12" subs with a fs of 34 Hz in a transmission line enclosure tuned to 34 Hz?

Both options will be receiving 2000 watts continuous power @ 1 ohm from a Mmats 2000.1d. The four tens are Image Dynamics IDQ v3 and the two twelves are the older Addictive Audio v3. Building a t-line for the four tens is not an option for me because the box would not fit in my Jeep Cherokee.

Thank you for any and all input on this. I will most likely end up building both, but prefer to understand the science behind these things. From what I understand about quarter wave theory, transmission lines drop the notes by an octave. But how does an octave relate to Hz?

In all sincerity,
Evan

I'm assuming you already have the subs?

an octave is a doubleing or halving of a frequency.

so if its tuned to 40 hz one octave up is 80hz one lower is 20hz

i would do the 4 10's ported, it should have more output if done properly

I am going for more sq than spl.
Should have probably mentioned that.
Yea, the whole octave is half the Hz thing makes sense.

But does a transmission line really put out an octave lower?
If so, I think it would serve my purposes better.
I make music with rather low bass

the idqs will easily have it. Newbs are going to say the t-line because it sounds cool but the ported 10s would easily do better IMO.
