Default How about this box

So I have a PSI recone on a DC XL 12". What do you think of this box for it?

I'll be powering it with an IA 20.1 @1 ohm.

Box looks good, port area is good, and yes DC likes smaller boxes. Also, next time, press "Print Screen" button above your "delete" key on your keyboard. Open Paint, and paste. Then save, and you got a picture of whatever is on your desktop.

Aero Port Tuning Length Calc

According to that calc which is more accurate with aero port length tuning than Torres with 1.78 cubes and 2 4" aeros 31" long is 34hz tuning. Those ports are going to be very long.

Are you going to be firing the ports to the side or are you putting 90 degree elbows in them? Why is the box so shallow and wide?

Will the sub even fit in that box without the magnet hitting the back of the box? With the top depth being 5.25" and bottom depth being 10.5" the depth at the very center of the box will be about 7.75" minus wood thickness so even smaller than that and with the width of the motor I am not sure it will fit in there.

Just want to make sure its going to work for you before you build it and find out it doesnt. That would suck.

Also I would probably personally go for 2 cubes net if you can fit it tho it isnt much larger than 1.8 cubes should do pretty good either way.

And I see you are using 1" thick wood but baffle thickness is .75"? Are you doing 1" on all sides except the front baffle I am confused a little bit.

Which face of the box is the sub going on and which face for the ports?

yeah your going to want to shoot for a little bigger box so your aeros arn't so long. just bump it up .25-.35. if your looking for lows, a slightly bigger box will help u achieve that.

Is shallow because it's for my standard cab f150. Ports will fire out the side. The sub will be as close to the bottom of the box as I can get it on the front side behind the driver seat. the mounting depth is just over 7" for this sub it should fit. Oh I forgot to change the front baffle from .75" to 1". I may try to make the box a little larger I need to do some more measuring I'm trying to keep some leg room. Lol hope this solves some of the confusion man. And thanks.

I was hoping to tune pretty low but I didn't want the ports to be ridiculously long. will the port length being so long cause any issues?
