Default 2 18's backseat no wall ?

Being from pa it's illegal to wall a car here. Has anyone done a backseat setup to keep the view out of the back window intact. I have a couple btl 18's and an opti 6k. I will NEVER compete , it's just gonna be a loud daily. I have at least 16 cubes to work with staying under the rear deck. I don't care about numbers I care much more about moving some major air and sounding good. Any help on sub and port placement would be great.

I ran a bl 18 off 1.5k in my old 2.5 rs sub up port up and it sounded great and got loud I'm just wondering if I went sub forward port up if I would see a gain.

in a different car I saw a guy do 3 15's forward (back seat box below window line) and huge port back into the trunk , sounded good and loud. ON the meter he was louder with the subs forward and port up though...I know you not competing but that info may help you decide. With your car, don't you have some kind of bracing behind the back seat anyway? Would be an issue if your going port back So I would do subs forward port up. Or subs up port up if there is enough width. That will probably be your deciding factor anyway. If you do subs forward and port up you will have more room for port.

If it would work I would do subs forward and port long across ways firing up through / or remove the rear deck. The port would load off the rear window. Subs would be firing forward directly behind fronts seats. You would have a large flat level surface on top of box, with the rear windows up I would think you would get lots of cabin gain. Amps and batteries in trunk.

16 cubes? Easy. I did. Subs forward port up. It was in a silverado though but it was less than 16 cubes gross

I have tested that amp about a bazillion times. I know what it does clean, clipped, dirty, loaded, unloaded, wired down, low voltage, good voltage, after it hot, while it's cool, on caps, on batts, where it protects, what's thermal limits are and just about anything else anyone would care to know about it.

But thanks for chiming in. Your opinion is duly noted.

I do have a ton of reinforcement between the trunk and the seat , I would love to go the pioneer~Saturn route and port through the rear deck but I don't want to cut up my car. I have more than enough width to go port and subs up something like 55 inches with the door panels still on.

My current rig. It seems to do fine. Not an optimal box.

I say go for it.
