Default Please help with port!

im building a 4.5cuft box tuned to 34Hz for 2 twelves, it is sub forward, port forward and the port is in between the subs. The port came out longer than the box is deep so im trying to figure out how to do the port bend. The box is 22" deep and my port needs to be 21" deep, its 4.5" wide. So how the hell should the port look? Do i keep the port 4.5" wide on both bends either way? ( the port would be "T" shaped ) or does the port turn to 2.25" at the bends by splitting the difference? This has always been something i have wanted to ask.

The specs on the box if it helps at all.

Port should be 4.5" wide throughout meaning 4.5" width. 4.5" from the back of the box as well.

i would like to add onto this. at the port bend, do you split the difference in port length? lets say a 24x6" port with 16" depth. would it turn and be 14" for both turns, or 7"

that was my next question...

Right now from the beginning of my port to the back wall is 21.25". So i have to make the bend at 16.75" to keep the port 4.5" from the back wall, so then do i make both bends at 2 1/8" (by splitting the difference) or do i make them both 4.25"?

I have tested that amp about a bazillion times. I know what it does clean, clipped, dirty, loaded, unloaded, wired down, low voltage, good voltage, after it hot, while it's cool, on caps, on batts, where it protects, what's thermal limits are and just about anything else anyone would care to know about it.

But thanks for chiming in. Your opinion is duly noted.
