Default 2 15's and a Blazer

Anyone have any tips on how to get these loud? I have 2 of the first gen Alpine Type R 15's with the fat surround. I have around 1-1.5k ready for them. Looking for a daily driver and I love the lows. I have an 02 Blazer 4 door no wall and it stays in the cargo area. If you need any other info let me know. Just looking to see if anyone has any tips on sub/port placement also box size and tuning.

What's the dimensions you have to work with. From what I hear subs up port back or port up have great results

mine was loudest with this 38wide 22deep and 18tall. i used aeros 5 4" at 15.5" long. sub up ports back still had room to put 2 g31s and an amp in front of box and still be 4" off back gate which i found was loudest for this setup. as for daily i played down into the high 20s and up to the 50s nicely. setup was 2 xfl 15s on 2 ap1800s strapped at 1ohm. did a 150 sealed up dbdrag legal at 47hz but was still mid 40s in the low 30hz range

that was my daily setup for a while i went to spl for a day which was 38w 22d 14t with 2 6" at 15" long sub up port back. amp was a american bass 500.1 at 1ohm on the xfl 15s did a 150.5 at 52hz didnt play music to well though so i scrapped that.

I'd like to do subs up port to the side or up just so I don't ruin my hatch lol. I'll measure tomorrow after work to recheck.

Sub up port back or sub up port up will be the way to go. I've seen the port to the side done in a couple Grand Cherokees and the end result wasn't anything I personally would have wanted. I have a 99 Tahoe and 2 15's and between all my boxes subs up port across the bottom back of the enclosure firing towards the hatch is by far the loudest. I went from a 148.6 to a 150.1 on a simple change of enclosure from center ported subs up port back in the center of the enclosure to port across the bottom. Not saying that's perfectly ideal for blazers too but I have seen it done in a few suv's and it's usually louder.

I have two choices seeing as I don't want the rattle from my hatch and I don't want to destroy it lol. Port to drivers or passengers side or port up?

im in a 2 door blazer and since you dont want to port back and destroy your hatch ...is your roof deadened? if not id go with a side firing port....tuned somewhere in the 30hz range....but since its not walled off its still going to effect the hatch mine is ported to the passenger side so its loudest to my ear
