Default Made a box in sketchup

I just tried making my first box in sketchup. I think it went fairly well, but wanted others to look at it and put in their opinion.

http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/6792/boxse.png

Thats the box. Its for a single 12" NSv1/Zv3, port is 40" long, 11.5" x 2.5" (28sq inches), tuned to 32hz~, and the box is around 1.7 ft^2. The whole box itself is 44"W x 13"H x 12"D. Made the box a bit on the small side since it will be on my SAZ 3k @ 1 ohm nominal

Whats everyone think? Is it braced enough? I did the double baffle to help with that, I cant do a flush mount since the box isnt tall enough. It will be going in my trunk replacing my destroyed SA 8s, port/sub back.

Start with the bottom piece, then sides, back, front, then top. That's how I do mines in sketchup. Here's one of mines I did.

I would make the port down the back wall. I've made boxes for sa8's with the port like you have, makes for a lot of port noise even with rounded edges and 45's. Again just my experience.

I do, but when I draw a rectangle to cover the top of the box and then try to drag it up, it drags all the free space in the box not the whole top.

Took me a few minutes to figure it out. For me, I just drew a rectangle at one end of the box, and then used P (push/pull) to drag it over the top of the box. At first I tried it the other way, making the rectangle the size of the top of the box and then pulling it, but that didnt work. BTW no worries on the threadjacking, IDC

Well I actually did that at first, but there wasnt enough depth for the sub to mount, unless I mounted it right next to the opening of the port, which Ive heard is a no no because of unloading. Feel free to try and come up with something better, my dimensions are in the first post :P

Im running 3 SA 8s right now with this same type of port. YES, there is alot of port noise.. mine has 45s in it as well and rounded edges too.

I dont see any other way to do it though in the space I have.
