I had a punch hx2 12 in a trunk with sub up port to drivers side that sounded great.
40"w X 18"d X 11"h (outside specs)
Port was 4"w X 9"h X 23"L
Tuned a little high, I think around 36hz or so. Sounded great though. Was a little lacking on the low end though. After displacement around 2.81 or so.

The main difference between the Power and Punch series is the power handling. They have the same box requirements. I have two Punch HX2 12's, I have them each in a 2.5 cubic foot enclosure tuned to 30Hz and it sounds great. Here is a link to the box I built for them

Do you get any port noise with the 4" aero? I built a test box using Rockford's specs and used a 4" round port and got port noise even at low volume. I didn't round off the corners, I just wanted to see how that box would sound.

There is a little port noise at high volumes, but you have to block everthing out an focus on hearing just port noise, everthing was rounded or 45^ inside the box........Did you use pvc, or aero type port?

For my test box I just used 4" PVC, I didn't round off the edges or put any 45's in the inside corners. I just threw a box together real quick just to see how well the recommended box would do. I did use a slot port on the box that I use in the truck. I rounded off the edges on the port at both ends and on the braces inside the box.
