Default birch with mdf

Hey just wanting to know what you guys think my local hardware store has 3/4" 4'x8' sheets of birch with mdf core on sale for 28 dollars its labeled as B2 birch lmk

the birch is a veneer.... literally 1/32 of an inch..

If your wanting to stain or somthing go for it. well regardless price is still cheaper than regular MDF.

MDF core? WTF?

B2 is the outer panel rating. As in, the way it looks. 'A' is the best for the one side and '1' is the best for the other. So, "B2" is ok for both sides to be seen wheras something like A3 would be good for one sided viewing.

I believe the alphabetical rating indicates that it's a softwood veneer.

That's what I thought to mdf core I looked it up on line menards sales it too but its like 44 dollars there

Its kind off funny I thought about on my next build I would try mdf and some sort of other wood for the second out side layer for screw purposes like being able to use the same screw holes over and over with out stripping
