Default Least volume for CF XS v.2 18" and SoloX 18" drivers?

Hey all, I'm wondering what your experiences are with these two drivers and how they perform with smaller volume enclosures?

We all know those damn SoloX 18" drivers like incredibly sized enclosures and tons of port, but I'm wondering what the smallest volume someone has placed one in is, but of course actually had good luck with it's performance as well?

How about for the Crossfire XS v.2 18" drivers? What's the smallest volume any of you have had one in and had good luck with?

Please do post your enclosure specs too while at it, I am very interested to see/hear how and what you did.

I plan to put about 3.3kW on either one, we'll see if the Crossfire laughs at that, but I'm sure the Kicker might even want it turned down a tad because this will certainly be a daily build.

I'll be using aeros as well to keep port displacement down with multiple 6" aeros, 8" or even a 10" aero if needed.

This is a trunk build... Ahh I know! LOL SoloX 18 in a trunk!? No way... But hey, worth a shot. I know plenty of people have done single round 18" drivers in trunks before, but the Kickers on the other hand... Lol.

Anyhow LMK fellas! I want to just do this as a build that'll be temporary, until I get all the rest of my equipment for my chase to do a DD trunk ~151-152+dB with a pair of twelves on uber power. With my 150dB flat already on 2kW, hopefully the more than double in power will instantly boost me up, but we'll see about that one, being that it's a whole different story... Lol.

But anyhow, being that it'll be a temporary build for 1-2 months, I would really like to change it up a bit hence this build, and being that it'll be a couple months, I'd like to still do this build as best as possible even though it will be a quicker "throw together" type deal. Hopefully the absolute maximum JUST under 7 cubes GROSS can be made to work. I'd really like to run the Kicker because it's so different than normal for me, but I do <3 the Crossfire no doubt, and I'm sure it'll easily perform in even ~5-5.5 cubes net with maybe a single 8" aero, dual 6" aeros, or if needed a 10" aero.

I have available any amount of 6", 8", and 10" aeros to use and I have a lovely jig I make them with. That couple with well, what I'd LIKE to stay under enclosure wise let me know what you would try. Preferably it'd be at 6.1-6.25 cubes gross.

LMK what you all think.

Thank so much guys,
Ron

if u going to do a 18 use the crossfire...because the solo x's like 8-10 cubic ft boxes and u arnt gunna get that in a trunk.

Still looking for an answer for the initial questions.

Smallest volume used (of course I'll be utilizing proper port no doubt), port has been taken into account already, the volume I stated above as available is gross internal after planned bracing and port displacement. Of course .29 cubes will be eaten up via driver displacement on the Kicker, and I don't recall exact displacement on the Xfire, so I've just been leaving it at .2 cubes being displaced to be safe
