Question help finishing box design

ok i have a design im working on its actually a modified version of another design that i have but im trying to adjust it to where it will fit in my vehicle better since the original box was not built for it. its for 4 sa 12's and im using a 4500 saz amp . the car is a 2005 subaru legacy sedan. the old box had the subs firing up and 3 6 inch aero ports from parts express firing into the cab of the car. the dimensions are 35 1/2 wide by 13 1/2 tall by 28 deep.

ok now that thats out of the way that is the old setup the new one will still be using the same subs and amp just my dimensions and ports will change my maximum external dimensions are 32 wide by 12.25 tall by 36 or 37 deep. i still want the ports firing forward into the cab and im using 3/4 birch so question is what size ports should i use since i cant fit the 3 6" aero's in it properly and also how long should i make them. id like it tuned to about 42hrz . any advice or help is greatly appreciated. also this is a daily driver plus spl setup .

You're trying to fit all of this in the trunk of a sedan

Personally I'd just get some beefier 12's, have them firing into the cabin and seal them off from the trunk. I just plugged in some numbers and you're at about 6.7 cubes before sub, port, or bracing displacement.

those subs can handle alot of power and considering i can do 150 db on the windshield from the trunk with the 1st box its a pretty good design i can do a 52 in the kick as well ima

I realize they take a lot of power. It just seems like you're choking the subs quite a bit, and firing the subs upward in trunk usually doesn't do well.

But by all means if you're happy with it, then don't let me convince you otherwise. Your system, not mine.

I wish you luck with the new box.
