Default If it says so... 6th order

According to WinISD I apparently can make a decent 6th order, whether the program is right or not, idk. Have all the #s inputed into it correctly and this is what it comes up with

8db gain at 19hz, lowest of 2.2db gain at 26hz, and 26.7db gain at 47hz

I know you can't tell just by the program, but isn't it pretty accurate at times?

Anyone thoughts if the graph looks good or about WinISD? or any 6th order facts

I would not say your graph is a "good" 6th order.

below is an example of a "good" 6th order.

Wait you cheated?

or is it the fact it peaks twice? The bar reaches higher than yours so I can't say it's better, but I could move things around to not make it do so. Is that the problem? You really didn't say why...

having two peaks far apart yields nearly no musical response. (sounds like crap)

the example I posted is a perfect world enclosure.. it has two peaks but they work together for a smoother response.

you want low end, tune and adjust for low end. I wouldn't because I like listening to normal music. [normal music does hit lows too]

I'm going to slip back into the background now and let other people post.

like sonic said, you want the top of the peaks to melt into a flat "table top" your peaks will be much lower, but unless you are tuning for a specific hz for burping or something, you want a smooth flatter response a lot more than you want super high peaks

Cabin gain smooths that shit like crazy. Also, WinIsd blows for spl vs freq plot for 6ths. Looks like you are using that.

high powered 6th orders are tricky, but fiddling around with the various parameters in bbp6 can yield a virtual response plot worth working with.

keeping in mind that i can use cabin gain, eq processing, setting a low-pass crossover point below the high range fb, or a combo of all 3 to smooth things out even further, this is the closest i can get using a pair of hdc12's in a parallel tuned prism with no more than 4.68db difference in amplitude across one octave.

Try a series 6th. See how that works for you.

I never use the spl tab for my designs. I'm just trying to plot something out that WILL work when I build it. I know a lot of people will tell me you gotta do trial and error but isn't there some more efficient way?...
Also bass box pro is wayyy to expensive for my liking
