Default Box question

Im trying to figure something out now i called dj @ aq for box specs on the hdc312-a now i was messing a round with some dimensions and im tryin to get 5 cubic ft gross int 64 sq inches of port area with a 20" long port heres what i got 12"h x 41"w x 24" d= 5.4 cubic feet12"h x 40"w x 23" d= 5.03 cubic feet what do u guy think

honestly I would do 4tf tuned to 35hz with 80" of port
it will play flatter and sound better on all types of music
and before you ask I have aq's myself the recommended box has a pretty big spike at 40hz - 50hz

So how big of a box should i build a 5 cube or was

I'm not sure what you are asking exactly
a 4ft box will take more power and play smoother all notes will be close to the same amplitude
the 5ft box between 40-50 it will get louder than the rest of them

80" port in a 4ft box needs to be 36.5" long you can bend it if needed

I got it so that 80 sq inches of port area and the port must be 36.5" long thanks wenn for the help

yeah it will tune it to lik 35.2hz which is close enough to 35 that you would never hear the difference
