Default Sub placement in relation to port ?????

My port is all the way to the left of my box. Should i put all my subs grouped together on the right or would it be ok to have them evenly spaced with one sub close to the port and one far away from it.

You want all the subs the same distance from the port for optimum portage. Otherwise they will behave differently. But I'm not a box building expert either.

Im waiting for Spy to come in with the expertise but when 2 people say something in a knowledgeable place like this i have no reason to really doubt them.

If you are using a box with a lot of port area placing one far away from the port and one close to the port opening will cause the one closer to the port to unload.

this is much less of an issue with properly sized ports although I would still try to avoid placing a sub directly in the port opening.

Can you post up a pic of your box or design for us to help you figure it out.

I built the box myself with no design. my port is a 3" Aero external flared. One sub is about 35" away from the port and one is about 6". My box is right around 42" long, i cant get a picture at the moment but my port is all the way to the left so ill just line my subs up all the way to the right.
