Default Need more port/modifying current box. pictures inside ;)

Ok, after talking to a few people they all say the same thing. I don't have enough port. I would really love to build a 4th order but with the cold coming I've decided to wait until spring. So for the time being I would like to modify my current box for increased port area and lower tuning.

Here's the current box specs Width-37" depth-39" height-12.5
All 1"MDF with 1.5" on the top.

Ideally I could remove the back piece where the aero's are currently mounted and build a standard port. The box is currently tuned at ~34. I would like to be closer to 30.

Any ideas?

That's going to be a looong port, somewhere in the neighborhood of 30". My suggestion would be to seal up the side that has the aeroports on it now and put a slot port on the bottom of the box on the other end, so that the new port would terminate on the end that has the aeroports now. Then turn the whole thing around so that the subs are further back and the new port is firing back.

I have tested that amp about a bazillion times. I know what it does clean, clipped, dirty, loaded, unloaded, wired down, low voltage, good voltage, after it hot, while it's cool, on caps, on batts, where it protects, what's thermal limits are and just about anything else anyone would care to know about it.

But thanks for chiming in. Your opinion is duly noted.
