Default 2 AQ HDC3-12" Trunk build box

Like the title says. I was thinking a 4.5 or 5 cubic foot box, tunes around 35hz. I will be using a 3500 to 4500w amp. Box size sound right?

Box seems kinda big for the power given imo we all know these subs take a shit ton over rated power but a big box plus too much power sounds like a bad idea.

I agree. I'd do 4cf around 32hz with at least 80 in^2 of port.

those subs don't need low tuning to get low, tune them to 38hz and they'll dig as low as other subs at 32Hz.

as far as size 4cuft net is great

Like most have said no need for tuning low, I wouldnt go as high as 38 though, 36hz seems to be perfect for those subs

In a larger box, I would say 36hz is perfect. Since we're decreasing size due to the power he's running, I wouldn't tune any higher than 34hz. Decreasing enclosure size reduces efficiency at and below tuning. OP, you can do what you want, but that's what I would do.
