Default 15" L7 box help

I have a buddy that would like me to help him build a box for a pair of L7's. This will be going in the back of a blazer (pretty sure its a 99). My questions are what volume has worked well for these? would three 4" ports be enough port? And what was the best setup for subs and port?

ok wayy back in the day
well about 4years ago.. (before i got into custom subs n such)
i had a 96 jeep cherokee..
i had 2 kicker L7 15s in 9.4 cubes NET volume (after all displacemnts) running on a audiopipe 3k.. had the box tuned to 33hz and used 14" per cube..

for the cheap chinese crap subs they are.. they did get pretty damn loud really..and played down to around 20hz also
bascially kicker subs like what the manual says..

but thats just my experience

3x 4" port wouldnt be nearly enough

Heres a box design I got from Brett at Kicker. It was to go in a expedition. So like Mr. G6 was saying, you need at least 4-5 cubes per woofer. Just to give you an idea tho....
