Default nissan 240sx hatch box

Well im looking to go broke this winter and i need help doing so. every setup i put in doesnt hit my standards. Im looking to put a single PSI p2 12 on a hifonics 1700. Now the tough part. I have a max of 15" height, 21" width and a depth of up to 30". I used the re calculator and came up with 15h x 21w x 24d tuned at 32hz 2.5cuft after sub disp(.16cuft). Now which direction should i have the sub and port facing? As you can tell i dont know alot about box building and thats why i need your help. Looking to be loud and hit the lows. Any help would be great. Thanks a friendly noob.

BTW I havent ordered the sub/amp yet so if you think i should go with a different setup just say so. And my loudest setup to date was 2 groundpounder 12s on a massive 1000.

hatchback box sub up port back ALWAYS NEVER failed me
stick with a good amount of port area ( 13 to 15" per cube is ideal) take the total port area and divide that by volume and u get the "inches per cube" adjust port size accordingly

2.5 net and 32hz is a good start like i said use a good amount of port area
and double up the baffle where sub will be
