That's not nearly enough port space.

8 inch Aero is 50 sq... ideal is half of your cone area, so 260sq give or take for you... personally I've seen small ports work in blowthroughs but the builder knew alot more than me.

Agreed. The minimum port is 1/4 cone area; that's absolute minimum, which is 132 in^2 for 3 15's. I'd also tune quite a bit higher. 38hz tuning is going to kill from 15-40hz, but you'll have very little above 45hz. I'd start with a 45hz tuning if you like the lows, 50hz if you're looking for more 50-70hz output. A good starting point would be 6cf sealed, 12cf ported with 3 8" aeros or even better, two 10" aeros if you can find them. Again, this is just a good starting point. You'll probably have to play around with sealed/ported volume and tuning to get it perfect.

Edit: Based on your dimensions, you don't have enough room for three 15's in a 4th order. Could get away with two 15's though or three 12's.

Without running specs on them, I bet 6 sealed isn't big enough to get the resonant frequency low enough either... Definitely DO NOT tune below 45 hz or so, anything below that and you'll have no high bass at all....

Yeah, 6 cubes is the smallest I'd run. If they're all in a common chamber, I'd bet that would be very close to 50hz resonant frequency. But you're right, there's no way to know for sure without getting T/S parameters.

Since he said he would be able to extend the D from 36. Would 40 Work? 42?

Not trying to jack your thread, I also was planing on running 3 15. Problem is I only have 48W20H40D which i'm told is not enough space. Just thing to learn a bit more.
