I've got a sound splinter rl-i10 and will be installing in a hatch back. My question is, would sealed or passive radiator design yield better low end bass? I'm going to be crossing at 63hz and would like this sub to reach down to the 20hz if possible. Or maybe even ported? I want to keep weight low, which is why I chose sealed or passive, port tends to add weight to an enclosure since I always do slotted. Peaks won't be a problem as I will have eq available. Running off a pioneer 80prs to a Rockford 360.2 and possibly an audio control Dqx if necessary.
Another thing is sub placement, what would yield better results as far as free db's, up firing, down firing or rear firing?
As of right now I am thinking rear firing unless otherwise convinced.
Thanks in advanced
