Default How's this for 2 sa8 v1.5s

3/4 mdf

Box outside dimensions:14h*25w*13.5d
Port dimentions: 2.25w*12.5h
Sub chamber: 14h*21.25w*7d

Starting from the port exit, it goes down the left side, then the back wall, flips a 180 and runs back, ending 2.25" from the inside of the first port wall, if that makes sense. Its ~54" of length. This seems crazy long to get a 34hz tuning, which is what Torres says it is.

I already built it and it plays LOW. Like "Rack City" shakes the hell out of dash and steering wheel while damn near floating my sunroof low. Can also do the same with a 19hz test tone.

Are my calculations off or have 8" subs just come this far?

Asking here because I've been talking to another guy with 2 sa8 v2s on similar power (1100–1200 rms) and he says his don't do this.

His box is 1.5cu/ft chamber with 30" of port which his designer said would be 35hz.

Thanks for the help guys. This is my first box and I'm very impressed with the output of it just wondering why then huge difference between mine and his.

Attached a pic to show how the port runs.

It leaked on the outside. And was pretty sure it was leaking internally as well. Found a box of 2" drywall screws on a shelf at work, bought a 6 pack and made DAMN SURE it doesn't leak lol

just becareful not to create more leaks,
when ever i put together a box.... i use way more glue than screws,

it takes me a few days to reglue all the seams afterwards

^^^^ noted. Going to rebuild cause I'm not very pleased with how panels line up and such.

Why can I still get that much air movement in the low 20s/high teens with a box tuned at 36? Is that how it always is?

Yeah I just didn't know how far below tuning they would go. Going to tune a bit lower next time. Want more output on songs like Machine Gun Kelly's "Hold On"
