Default 6th order masterpiece! opinions?

I spec'd the box using Win ISD online and t/s specs from a DC Audio Lvl 4 12".

Win ISD graph

Couldnt get the curve any flatter than that and still get db boost.

Lemme know what you think.

What's it look like when you change it to 30-60 and 33-66? I've read its best to be an octave apart. I've made the 6th in my sig and it sounded good. Just diff have much out put after 50. In beaten though was solid. Also, what I'd your port area per foot front and rear?

That is a series tuned 6th order, and that won't play flat in your car.

I have tested that amp about a bazillion times. I know what it does clean, clipped, dirty, loaded, unloaded, wired down, low voltage, good voltage, after it hot, while it's cool, on caps, on batts, where it protects, what's thermal limits are and just about anything else anyone would care to know about it.

But thanks for chiming in. Your opinion is duly noted.

i know it's series tuned, but how will that affect how it sounds. didn't think about it being tuned differently. you know what happen when you assume. at least i didnt waste any wood yet.

pay somebody who has credentials.
it's not fair to waste someones time designing you a box you probably won't build... so, pay them.. and if you have a question, poll the CACO community. we have service providers and vendors who will do a design if they are compensated for their time.

it's like the difference between good fakelys and real oakleys.

the big thing is the peak of the rear enclosure needs to fall within the bandwidth of the front enclosure.. and the port needs to be the right size.. when it's too large, it doesn't tune.. it just transmits... and that means you just have a ported box playing through a tunnel into the cabin.

many people have done the same enclosure you have there. if the tuning is right(based on actual parameters of the subs), then it will be fine.
