Default Aq hdc315 find port length

Have plans for a 4cuft box with 64sq of slot port. I'm not sure how long to make the port to get around 35 to 36hz tuning.

Box outside dimensions are 35.5" wide, 15.5" tall and 21" deep. The top where the sub will sit will be double baffled routed to fit flush. Sub up port up 32x2 port.

Is a 2" wide port too small? I could probably fit a 16x4 but I'd have to double check the sub would still fit in the 16" or so left

Designed this box on torres, how does it look? Did all i could to get to 4cuft, but i have to remeasure and make sure the box will fit more than 19 depth.

35 tuning sound right for an HDC315 copper that loves flexing?

Sorry this might work better

I'm also curious if the port length box you input is the physical length or measured down the center line.
*Found the answer, you input the effective port which is measured down the center.

Could mod please change title to Check my HDC315 box design.

Also I created a 3d design with Torres.
Box is 4cuft tuned to low 35hz. Made for 2003 Tiburon with an SQ HDC315 D2

Had a bad week and couldn't afford the MDF, so I spent my time wondering about aeroports.

I know alot of people swear by them and they look damn sexy, but do they make a difference, especially flared v.s. standard l port.

Also, with 4 cuft I was trying to get around 64 sq in of port. Should i mix sizes to get to that or change volume and try to get 2 same size ports at 16sqin per cf

Just read you only need half the port area with aeros, still have a problem of trying to get to 32 though. Anybody with HDC 15's and aeroports experience?
3 ports x 4" dia x 15" long, giving just under 35hz tuning
or
1 port x 6" dia x 10" long, same 34.8hz tuning

Just bought the wood yesterday, will be starting on the box today or tomorrow.

Box is in and sounds amazing, this is what I've wanted it to sound like. Well maybe a bigger amp and it will be there.

Only thing is with the depth and height i might have to router some edges to keep my back seats able to latch and the hatch to close at the same time.

Also if your planning on using the 3d box pic it is slightly flawed but i have the completed design I can upload if someones interested. Double baffled 4cuft @ 35hz. Sub up port up.
