Default Trunk sub/port fire direction?

Looking for some info on best way to fire sub and port in my car. I know every car isn't going to sound the same but would like to hear what others have found to work best for daily use. Using Orion hcca 12.2 with aq2200d. I want to get everything I can out of them so here i am.. I have heard sub up port to passenger side is good but i want some more people to give me their opinions. I planned to fire sub up but I'm not sure what to do. Any info will be greatly appreciated! Thanks

What kind of car? every car is different imo. I use a small ported prefab box to test positions in the trunk to see which sounds best or loudest depending on what you are looking for.

Escort zx2.
Edit-I will not be competing or going for big numbers. Just want to have a loud and decent sounding daily setup. I know somebody on here has my answer!

i got 2 10's in a trunk,
with both port and subs facing rearward, its pretty loud in that alignment, havent yet tried to flip it,

but right now i really have no reason too (flip)...... since im pretty content with the output i have now, need to do some dampening before i get any louder

Did you notice much difference in the quality of the sound? My rear seats are split and fold. I have the larger driver side + middle removed for sound to travel into cabin better. Passenger side is going to stay so I can still have some people space.

thats the thing, everyone has to do their own testing because what works for one vehicle may not work for another. In my trunk I run my two tens firing forward and port forward all the way up against my back seat. That is what is loud in my car. I do a 149.6 with that set up with the box i have now

Subs back port to the passenger side works best in my car. It's a 2000 Accord with two SA-12's and a 6" aero.
