Default Question on port

I have a box I built its 4 cubic ft my dimensions are 34 wide 18 deep 14 high I used 5/8 mdf I thought I was using 3/4 but didnt realize til I made the last cut. The box is for 4 10s what size port should I use I was thiinking 6" port and 1ft long to give me a tuning of 34, or should I go with 4" ports

I think you would be better using just 3 10s in that box or building a larger one for 4

Box is already built no turning back but if I rebaffle it will it be louder with 3 vs 4 and im overpowering the subs so thats why I did 4 cubes.

Your airspace is tiny and you will require more port area than what single 6" aero will give you, not unless you are doing a burp box and don't give crap what it sounds like lol

I want the box to be daily subs are vvme rd-10s til I build up some motors I have. What size aero do you guys recommend?

1st, I would highly suggest just using them sealed and adjusting the box placement so it loads into your vehicle the best it can.

but if you insist on ported... your airspace is actually about 3.87. and your sub displacement is about .10 per sub. so that leaves 3.47cu ft.

34hz.. using external ports,
two 4" ports would need to be 13 5/8" long.

or

two 6" ports would need to be 32 7/8" long.


if you must use aeros, they'll need to be longer than non flare ports

ok I guess ill go ported for 3 subs instead of 4 and i used 5/8s mdf not 3/4 I didnt realize that until I made the last cut
