Default extended cab center console firing direction

okay going to be 2 skars vvx 10s facing down is the port foward a good idea? i know the port and subs are suppose to load off of a hard surface but if its foward it will only be hitting the dash any downfalls or perks to this? should i have the designer change this to downfire if anyway posssible or are we good to go?

I had a crew cab chevy and had buckets in the back. I got the best out of it when the subs were either up or down both ways with the port to the back of the cab.

Not many replying cause there's been many threads started about this very thing. Just do some searching and you'll find more info on it.

Center console, woofers down and port rear. In the ext cab I did better forward firing in my S10, some do better subs up.

I really think a pair of 8s in a 4th would be freekin sweet!

I have a crew cab F150 and I replaced my rear console with a center slot ported box using two 10s which also fire downward.

It does well for the low power I run {less than 600 peak to both subs}.

through the winter it's more than enough.
summer comes and I get the itch again.
