Default box size for a audioque hdc4 18?

I made a box for my sub but I don't think its good enough for the sub I feel that maybe with a better box my sub will perform better. Anyone know what size/tunning the box should be at? Its just one hdc4 18 currently its in a 6.25. Cubic foot box tunned to 35ish hz

So when you say 16in^2 per cube what do you mean by that? I'm not super knowledgeable in box building

16 square inches per cube x 6 cubes = 96 in^2 total of port area.

I would do 32. People on here go say 38 hz or whatever, it sounds like poo. I design on a regular basis, I'll show you some of my designs if you want. I would do 32 hz.
