Default slot vs aero in trunk

so I'll Be Running 2 12s In 7 Cubes In My Trunk. As I'm Building The Box I'm torn between Using A Slot PortOr 2 6 Inch Aero Ports. The Tuning Is Going To Be 38-40 Hz. Would Anybody Be Able To Enlighten Me As To The sq And Spl DifferencEs Between The 2? I HavE Been Doing A Lot Of Research, But With Everything I Find, Nobody Seems To Have Facts, Just What They Use And Why They Think It Is Better.

What i've seen on the net so far: slot ports are very useful because they are easier to make with big port area than aeros, and they can be bent at the inside end to allow a longer length than aeros.
Slot ports that are very narrow and tall/wide (like very rectangular instead of more square-ish) may produce unexpected results however with output/tuning. More symmetrical shapes like squares and (even better) circles are believed be better, but there isn't really much research on this.
The most important part of the port designs seems to be the correct port area and allowing the port to breathe on both ends. As long as it is, it should sound great

the subs Will Be Right Behind The Seats And Sealed Onto The Cabin.

I'm Going To Be Testing Out The New Massive Hippo Line (New For 2013) Some Beefy Little Mofos.

And When You Say Rectangular Ports Can Produce Some "UnExpected Results" Can You Eloborate On That For Me? Do You Mean UNExpected In Tuning, Quality, Ect?

you want a slot on the drivers side or in between the two subs

Exactly
dont just say you need to do this
Have you tested each orientation in his vehicle with his equipment?
If you want to understand things then do it yourself and test test
not being rude but you cant learn just hitting keys on a keyboard

port on the drivers side leads to better numbers. in the center will lead to about the same and passenger side port. usually doesnt do nearly as good. you want the port on the opposite side of the meter. (trunk wall) Now on the aeros always in the center long enough to meet your back seats in the cabin with the box all the way to the back of the trunk.
