Default aero port question

can anyone help? does anyone know if 6" thin wall pvc pipe will work with aero pipe flares and connecting rings? i have a 24" piece of it and it sure would make the cost more reasonable if it would work.

U said aero...aero has flares (rounded end) which can be done by heating it with a heat gun over a rounded object

Its just a round port if u use it as straight pipe so yes, it'll work fine

If u wanna try heat molding, watch this

I think Jeff was thinking you were going to make your own custom flares using a mold, a heat gun, and the PVC tube.

You are saying, will the ABS plastic AeroPort flares and connectors that you purchase work with the PVC pipe instead of buying the original ABS pipe you can buy for it, right?

I have not done this with the 6", but I have with the 3" and 4". The factory supplied connecting rings will not fit over the PVC pipe. You you have to buy the PVC connectors, and possibly build up the flare ends with some tape before putting together.

It's not quite as perfect as all the stock parts, but it does make testing multiple port lengths much more economical.
