I have already tried adjusting port length and it starts eating up net box volume and takes a great deal more length for minor adjustments in tuning. I'm pushing to go for the larger box, smaller 4.5" port of around 14" cu in per foot, and keeping the tuning lower. Will this be a good compromise? My trunk space is maxed out and I feel from the WinISD graph that the larger box will have a smoother curve as well as gain closer to 3DB. How is it looking?
